Speech and Language Pathology


At MOSAIC, we offer pediatric speech language therapy services for children from birth to 21 years of age, to assist children with their ability to communicate effectively and successfully.
We serve those with various diagnoses such as autism, developmental delays, receptive and expressive language disorders, apraxia and motor speech disorders, hearing loss, phonological disorders, articulation delay and social/pragmatic language disorders. Our diversely qualified staff strives to create a difference in the quality of the lives of these children.

Your child may need speech language therapy if he/she:

  • Has a diagnosis of autism or other developmental delay
  • Has speech that is difficult to understand
  • Does not seem to understand questions or directions
  • Cannot express themselves using sentences similar to peers
  • Has difficulty interacting socially with peers
  • Has a hearing loss
  • Has not yet begun to say words by age 12 months
  • Does not seem interested in developmentally appropriate play with toys

Speech therapy can include one or more of the following communication areas:

  • Swallowing and feeding difficulties
  • Receptive and expressive language disorders
  • Articulation, phonology, voice and fluency
  • Motor speech disorders including dysarthria and dyspraxia
  • Autism spectrum disorders and social interaction
  • Cognition, problem solving, reasoning orientation and memory
  • Alternative & Augmentative communication
  • Auditory Processing
  • Reading, writing and literacy problems
