Amy Stoddard

Behavior Technician

Amy is a Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) in the state of Washington. She is very passionate about helping people with disabilities. Since graduating college in 2009 she has been working in a variety of settings with people with disabilities ranging from very young children to young adults. Amy has a degree in Health and Education Services from Illinois State University and is originally from Chicago, Illinois. Before moving to Seattle in 2015 she worked in a therapeutic day school serving kids with autism from all over the Chicagoland area. In that school she worked as a classroom aide, a supervisor of classroom aides and an art therapist. While in her role as art therapist, she was able to combine her passions for art and knowledge of sensory related issues that many individuals with autism face to target sensory regulation using art. After moving to Seattle because of her love of the outdoors, Amy worked as a nanny for children with Autism for about a year before going back into the classroom. She then worked with teachers to adapt their curriculum to better suit the needs of their middle school students with disabilities and as an aide for a student at that school. Through all of these experiences, Amy has found a passion for behavior analysis and will soon pursuing a Master's Degree in the field. In her spare time Amy loves to cook, hike, and paint.
