MOSAIC Children's Therapy Seattle

  • "MOSAIC has been an amazing resource for the families I work with at Seattle Children’s Autism Center. The fact that MOSAIC offers a variety of services all under one roof is a huge advantage. With a family centered approach, you know the providers are communicating and coordinating their treatments, which makes a big difference when treating challenging neurodevelopmental conditions. Even more important, the quality of services provided by MOSAIC has always been stellar. I have a high confidence level when I know a family is working with providers from MOSAIC."

  • "Thank you Carrie, I really can't thank you enough. C struggled so much with the beginning of elementary school, and watching her come out of her shell has been an incredible experience for me as a mother. She is an extremely introverted child with ADD and the social skills classes were a tremendous benefit to her. She learned basic techniques to improve her confidence and practiced these skills with other children who had similar social needs. I have witnessed her approach and interact positively with strangers we meet at the zoo, parks, the beach! It's been an amazing transition.

I am very happy with progress, and I am so happy with where we are. Thank you again.

  • We love Miss Lauren! She's the person I know who could get my son to run stairs with weights on his ankles and almost like it.

  • "I wanted to take a minute and thank Bek Wiltbank, OT, and also let you know what an impact you make in our family's lives.

After your Craniosacral therapy session with my son Liam on Monday, Liam relaxed! He had been so frantic for the previous week. He came home to the chaos with my sister's family here and did great. He had no fits, meltdowns or increased anxiety. He was patient with his curious two year old cousin. He also slept! He had been getting giddy for hours after going to bed. Now he goes to sleep once he lies down.

So from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!!"

  • "To Everyone at Mosaic,
We want to thank all of you for everything you have done for our family over the past 18 months, and not only our family but all families. You all work so hard to make a difference in our children's lives and we appreciate it so very much. The passion you have for these kids and my kids whether you are a therapist or admin shows. We have been so pleased and so blessed to have had the MOSAIC team supporting and guiding us these past 18 months. You have given us a great gift in showing us how to make a difference in our kids’ lives. We are forever grateful for our MOSAIC family.
    Much Love"

  • "My son, who is almost five years old, has been attending Mosaic for one year. The amount of progress he has made during this time is quite impressive; certainly, it exceeded my expectations. Our therapist has methodically worked with him in many different ways, most relating to sensory issues. When he started, he would not ever go barefoot; he now will go barefoot for a couple of hours at a time. He was unable to focus on activities or participate meaningfully while interacting with adults. He flailed around from one thing to the next without any intention or focus. I can now say that he has made tremendous progress in each of these areas and others! My little boy is engaging with me and wanting to play games, he has learned how to take turns, he listens and responds appropriately. Our therapist has taught us what we need to do to at home and what he needs physically (squeezes, etc) in order for him to stay in control of his body and continue to progress. There is much work to continue but due to the particular progress my son has made since beginning OT, I am certain that my son will continue to meet milestones, otherwise thought unattainable. I highly recommend Mosaic."

  • "When we first began seeing Bek in August of 2013, our son Karl (age 4), had been consistently attending productive speech therapy for over a year. Karl was making steady, but slow progress and despite all of the wonderful therapy he was receiving, was still only able to say approximately 20 words. In addition to Karl's speech issues, he was also having a very hard time focusing which was impacting many areas of daily life including potty training.

Initially I was skeptical and hesitant to have Karl undergo craniosacral therapy. Honestly, we had tried so many therapies with Karl only to be disappointed, that I didn't want to get my hopes up that this would be the therapy to open his speech. Additionally, Karl has always been sensitive to any touch to his head and neck area so I wasn't confident that Bek would even be able to do her work properly.

The very first visit with Bek was nothing short of fabulous! Bek is absolutely incredible with kids. She is very intuitive, soothing yet firm with her boundaries as well as loving in her interactions. Karl absolutely loves and trusts Bek and gets very happy when I tell him we are going to see her. Karl let Bek do her work with very little push back at the very first appointment, and the results were immediate and miraculous. Karl's speech started opening up very quickly as if a big block had been removed. As we consistently attended his craniosacral therapy as directed by Bek, Karl's vocabulary started blossoming at a mind-boggling rate! At first it was approximately five new words a day which was just so incredible that I found myself crying regularly out of pure joy. This rate continued to increase to a rate of ten, then twenty words a day and now Karl is like a little parrot, trying to repeat everything we say. His speech is now open to the fantastic speech therapy that Nicole Kopta has been so consistently, lovingly and skillfully giving Karl for over a year.

The craniosacral therapy has allowed the speech therapy to be applicable, accessible and even more productive for Karl. Bek has performed craniosacral therapy on many different areas of Karl's head and neck, each time producing differing results for Karl but all being positive. In addition to his speech opening, Karl's focus has increased considerably, his potty training has improved dramatically and he is overall a much happier, confident and radiant little boy. I am forever so indebted and grateful for the work that Bek has done for Karl in removing whatever was blocking his speech and doing so with great care, expertise and love. Her expertise is evident in every interaction with Karl. I still cry out of pure joy listening to Karl talk away, it is such a gift and miracle! I am also incredibly grateful for Nicole Kopta and her dedication, patience and expertise in her area of speech therapy and for suggesting we give the craniosacral therapy a try. Much gratitude to both of you!"
