Shannon received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of Washington and began her work in ABA therapy in 2013. Her interest in special education began in high school when she started helping young kids with special needs at her church. During college, she became involved with research at the UW Autism Center and later at Seattle Children's Research Institute where she learned a lot about parent teaching and temperament of kids with autism. Shannon began working in the ABA field as an in-home therapy assistant, serving children with developmental disorders. Since then, she found her passion in helping kids achieve their goals and utilize their skills with their peers and family. Shannon hopes to pursue a graduate degree in behavior analysis in the future. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys playing classical music on her piano, swimming, baking, and doing Zumba.
