Ya-Yin Chen, CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

Ya-Yin grew up in the metropolitan city of Taipei, Taiwan and came to the United States with two suitcases of belongings at age fifteen. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences in 2008, and Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2010, from the University of Washington, Seattle.

Ya-Yin previously worked in the public schools, where she enjoyed having students of various ages and communication needs in the areas of articulation and phonology, motor speech, receptive and expressive language, fluency/stuttering, pragmatics/ social communication, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication. She has a passion for learning new languages and is committed to serving culturally and linguistically diverse families. In order to gain knowledge in swallowing, she completed the Modified Barium Swallowing Impairment Profile (MBSImP) training and received certification.

In her spare time, Ya-Yin enjoys watching professional sports, trying out new activities, and spending time with friends and family.
